The amazing game drives in Serengeti

What is a game drive?

A game drive is a safari activity done in the game parks/conservation areas using a 4×4 safari car for wildlife sightings. It can be described as driving through a large number of wildlife for close viewing.  Game drives in Serengeti national park are the best part of any wildlife safari in Tanzania.

On a game drive you will see wonderful local wildlife of that specific area which may include wildebeest, lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards and any other random specie. If you found yourself in Tanzania’s incredible wild spaces, you will have to witness the wild wonders of Africa up close.

When undertaking a game drive, be ready to have a mix of the exciting and heart-breaking moments as the animals play around as well as the predators devouring their prey.

Where is Serengeti National Park?

Serengeti is every tourist dream destination and the perfect Tanzania wildlife safari destination. It is a vast stretch of savannah grassland filled with wildlife in North Eastern Tanzania. It stretches to the famous Masai Mara land where most tourists continue for Kenya wildlife safaris.

The almost endless lush grasslands of Serengeti are the richest grazing grounds in the country, and therefore home to the prime herds and the biggest number of predators.

At this time the birds are making the great melodies of the morning as the sun starts to peep out, it’s a great time for seeing an African sunrise in the wild.

The Evening Game Drive

At dusk, heading for a sunset game drive after a day’s relaxation is amazing as you see the wildlife trying to make an evening kill. What you might meet at this cool sundowner moment is not predictable, it could either be a pride of lion or the numerous wildebeests.
